Bio:

Verônica García Donoso is a Professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM - Brazil). Is currently a researcher at the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation (Experienced Researcher) with a Georg Forster Research Fellowship at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Holds a PhD. degree by the Architecture and Urban Planning School at the University of São Paulo (FAUUSP, Brazil (2017). She is also researcher at the QUAPÁ Group since 2009, which is the most active research group regarding Brazilian Open Space Systems and Urban Morphology. Donoso was the coordinator of the Architecture and Urbanism Bachelor course at the UFSM campus of Cachoeira do Sul from August 2020 to February 2022. Was an invited researcher at the INVI (Instituto de Vivienda) of the University of Chile, developing knowledge of the Chilean Urban Planning and Social Housing Policies. During the year of 2013, she participated in the José Bonifácio Chair at the University of São Paulo, with the coordination of the ex-President of Chile Ricardo Lagos. In 2011 Donoso completed a Master in Research at the University of São Paulo (USP). She graduated at University of São Paulo (USP) as an Architect and Urbanist in 2007, and has completed exchange program with the EAG (École Nationale Superiéure d'Architecture de Grenoble) France in 2005-2006.
