Sylvia Sadzinski curates, teaches and researches primarily on (queer) feminist topics and questions regarding visual resistance practices, body politics, sexualities and affects and on methods of queer and feminist curating.
Since October 2019, she has been working as programme director and artistic co-director of the feminist art and event venue alpha nova & galerie futura in Berlin. She studied European Cultural History in Bremen and Valencia (Spain) and Literature and Cultural Studies at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). She was a research assistant at the Institute for Women's and Gender Studies at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and has been teaching in the field of visual cultural studies, porn studies and gender studies at various universities (including the University of Vienna, Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt) since 2015.
From 2017 to 2019 she was curator of the municipal Galerie im Turm in Berlin and curatorial fellow at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien . Since 2012, she has realized various collaborative cultural projects, among others with the nomadic project space and curatorial group Neue Berliner Räume .
Since 2016, she has been running the international nomadic film and discourse series Plonker, Porn, Protest together with Sarah Held, which is dedicated to the critical potential of queer-feminist pornography.

Im Rahmen des Stadtjubiläums der Stadt Marburg und im Auftrag des Fachdienst Kultur wurde in einem Workshop gemeinsam anhand von Beispielen erörtert, was das Konzept von Queering für die Künste und das Ausstellen bedeutet. Welche Rolle spielt die Identität der Künstler_innen? Welche Kennzeichen könnten es sein, die ein Kunstwerk queer machen? Wie werden gesellschafliche Themen, Blicke und Zuschreibungen auf queere Biografien, politische Verhältnisse und Körper in Queerer Kunst verhandelt?
