Sylvia Lier speaks about the impact mobility platforms have on the mobility transition, how digital incentives can actively encourage climate-friendly mobility behaviour, and the role public transport and transport companies can ideally play in this context—as providers of integrated mobility services.
Sylvia Lier is Managing Director of TAF mobile GmbH. She is an expert in multimodal passenger mobility and brings experience from the fields of vehicle fleet management and leasing (LeasePlan), platform-based shared mobility (Deutsche Bahn Flinkster, Call a Bike, IOKI), and public transport (Rheinbahn Düsseldorf). Over the past 20 years, she has held senior leadership roles including member of the executive management team, CEO, and board member.
Sylvia Lier is committed to enabling digitally connected mobility services that integrate road and rail transport. In 2018, she was awarded the Clara Jaschke Innovation Award by Allianz pro Schiene for her concept of the mobility budget.
Sylvia says: “I want to enable people to be well and sustainably mobile even without owning a car.”

A successful mobility transition depends on user-centric, digitally integrated services that make sustainable mobility simple and appealing. Mobility platforms are a key enabler, as they connect public transport with additional mobility services and provide seamless, multimodal access through a single digital interface.
In this presentation, Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB) and TAF mobile showcase the multimodal app LeipzigMOVE as a concrete best practice for implementing a cloud-based mobility platform. The session addresses both technical aspects—ranging from new service integration like BonusMOVE (loyality program) and CiBo (Check-in/Be-out) to the connection of existing IT landscapes—as well as organizational and strategic considerations.
The focus lies on the transformation of public transport operators from traditional bus and rail providers into regional mobility orchestrators. The presentation targets decision-makers and mobility professionals seeking to shape the future of integrated, digital, and sustainable mobility solutions.
