Artist Talk & Workshop: Fotzüglich, it's BingOh time! Welcome to Fun. Fuck. And Foucault revisited.

Fusion Festival {June 2019}, artist talk & workshop:
Back in 1977, the sociologist Michelle Foucault shaped the expression "sexuality dispositive" in order to describe the central role of sexuality within power: Sexuality not only affects the individual, but sexuality also controls the population. 40 years later "The race to create the ultimate AI sex partner" is on and at the very same time the debate on women's sexual self-determination is in full swing as the disputes on the right to abort demonstrates. What is our current sexuality dispositive? What does sexual-determination in terms of a rising demand for labiaplasties, or interventions that alter the size and shape of the inner or outer labia?

This interactive session revisits Foucault and aims to playfully break down boundaries with the help of Bing({‘})h – a vulva bingo we can play.

I had the great pleasure to chat with the wonderful Nora Hespers about Germany's recent data hack as a reason for more hacking + responsibility, how JugendHackt (a hackathon for youngsters) shows. We also discussed the attention our digital bodies need, about data sovereignty and sexuality, play & investments in the future we want to live in.
