In international comparison, Germany is still at the bottom of the league when it comes to equality. There are more Thomases than women on the boards of listed companies and the gender pay gap remains a reality. But public pressure on companies for diversity and equal opportunities is growing steadily - and no longer just with regard to women. Time to take action.
Rea Eldem (she/they) has more than five years of professional experience in designing and managing diversity strategies for companies, foundations and political actors. As a consultant with specification on gender equality, Rea Eldem accompanies companies, the BMW Foundation, Trivago, Jägermeister or giz with her agency IN-VISIBLE. Rea Eldem has an academic background in cultural studies (Zeppelin University) and in intersectional feminist theory (TU Berlin), in Multi-disciplinary Gender Studies (University of Cambridge) as well as international work and research experience (Japan, Korea, England). They have a lecturing position at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam.
