As a social scientists rooted in the field of Gender Studies, I work on issues concerning biopolitics (e.g. cosmetic surgery, food, fitness) and embodiment. I further carry out empirical work and theoretical research in the field of gender and care, gender and academia/science (careers e.g.), post-structuralist theory (mainly Judith Butler and Michel Foucault) and social theory (Bourdieu, etc.). I am passionate about explaining and discussing core concepts, methods and findings within gender studies to almost any audience.
