Petra Tabarelli has been watching football since she was two years old. She has been fascinated by everything historical for almost as long. So it's not surprising that the studied historian not only works as head of the Bingen Municipal Archive, but is also an independent football historian.
Her research focus is quite unique in the world: the football rules, the Laws of the Game. More precisely, the development of them.
What is the meaning and purpose of the offside rule - and has it always been the same? And this handball rule ...
She can tell you something about everything or at least have a quick look. And that's why her path has already led it to the FIFA archives in Zurich and to the IFAB, the guardians of the Laws of the Game.
She also writes a lot about the football rules and football history in general, including for the DFB referee newspaper as well as on her blog Nachspielzeiten.
She is also part of the award-winning podcast FRUEF - Frauen reden ueber Fussball.
