Ksenija Nikolova

I am the author of six novels and I always write about relevant topics such as mental health, addiction, marriage, abuse and so on. I think that art pushes boundaries and as an author I am always inspired to do live events where we discuss topics that matter.

My name is Ksenija Nikolova and I am a fiction author from Macedonia. I have been writing my entire life, I love creating art. I am the author of six books that were all initially published in Macedonia, but in the last years, some of my books got translated into other languages, such as English, Russian and Bulgarian. I am beyond proud to be able to share my art with a larger audience and it is my dream for my books to be translated into as many languages as possible. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with different publishers from different countries, it has been such a journey so far and I think the best part of it is just around the corner.
What do I believe in?
I believe that artists have a tremendously unique opportunity to change the world with the art they create. I write for my audience, but my art has to come from me; I have to believe in the stories I tell. No matter how technical my writing becomes with every new novel that I write, my stories have to mean something; they have to make a difference to someone. I prefer creating art with flaws and emotions rather than creating something perfect and arid. Art encourages empathy, and imagination should be fluid and never limited.
