Female leaders are still a rare species. To change that, companies and individuals must better understand what business women really need and which struggles they face on their path.

But does career equals leadership? In this session hosted by Kim Dede we find out why “career” is for every woman and how she can (and should!) manage it.

What does career mean to me? How can I actively manage it? It doesn‘t matter if you love your current role and just want to make the best out of it, crave for more work-life-balance, want to change your job or join the workforce after some time off. This workshop is for you when you finally want to get in the driver’s seat of your career or help other women do so as a HR professional.

Kim Dede is an experienced consultant and female career coach from Germany, based in Dubai. She has worked as a Management Consultant in several international consulting companies and is writing her PhD thesis on women in leading management positions. Therefore, she is an expert on the success factors of female careers and combines this knowledge with her experience as a Big Four consultant and business founder.

As a certified professional coach, Kim supports women of all age and career levels to find out what they really want and create the career of their dreams, achieve work-life-balance or finally get visible online and offline.

As a Female Empowerment and Diversity advocate, Kim loves to share her passion in keynotes, trainings and workshops with individuals and companies in Europe and the Middle East. You will quickly get caught by her excitement for these topics!

Last week I was invited as a speaker at the #Diversity & #Inclusion Conversations 2022 of the #PwC International Associates Network🤗

As a diversity and #femaleempowerment enthusiast I loved the setting and the topics.✨

Besides my breakout session we talked about #unconsciousbias about LGBTQIA+, sustainability topics, bias in digital assets and the experience of Thomas Miebach as a deaf colleague at PwC.

This keynote was presented in 2022 for the PwC network.

In this two-hours-session the participants learned about work-life-balance and work-life-integration and how they could review their own current workload. Also the workshop helped to better understand how to manage the own work, the career and how to achieve a healthy work-life-balance. With reflection, fun and exercises more than 100 people in two cohorts were able to follow through the topic and to develop practical next steps to improve their career and life after the event.

This workshop was held internally at Reckitt Benckiser in 2022.

Aktives Karrieremanagement - ja oder nein?

Ich persönlich würde immer für ein 'Ja' plädieren und teile auch gerne, warum...

🚀 Wir verbringen so viel Zeit unseres Lebens mit der Arbeit und sie hat einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf uns. Warum also alles dem Zufall überlassen?

🚀 #Karriere-Management klingt nach CEO und 60-Stunden-Woche. Aber was, wenn man sich andere Ziele setzt und die aktiv vorantreibt wie beispielsweise eine 4-Tage-Woche, menschenzentrierte Führung oder Raum für Hobbies?

🚀 Jede:r kann das: Ein Netzwerk aus tollen Menschen aufbauen, sich Vorbilder suchen, Unterstützung holen und an der eigenen Selbstsicherheit und #Motivation arbeiten. Wie wäre es beispielsweise mit einer Confidence-Playlist oder Mentoring? 🎶

Unconscious bias and power games in business are holding women back.

The workshop was designed to raise awareness about the biases in the business world towards women and inter-gender communication. Also the participants learned about power games in the working world and how they are used to clarify the hierarchy or get what you want.

Also the participants were able to reflect on their own experiences and share the problems and solutions as well as learnings from the workshop.

This workshop was held in 2022 für die Women in IT (WeIT) network in PwC Germany.

👩‍🎓 Was ist eigentlich #Diversity #Marketing?

Darüber habe ich gestern an der Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg einen Vortrag gehalten.

Natürlich gibt es viele Blickwinkel auf das Thema, aber ich habe vor allem die Diversität in digitalen Werbeanzeigen beleuchtet 💡 Hier steckt so viel Potenzial und auch ein gesellschaftlicher Auftrag, die Welt vielfältiger zu machen und realistisch abzubilden. Gleichzeitig ist enorm viel Fingerspitzengefühl gefragt angesichts des Risikos von unpassender Darstellung oder Stereotypisierung ☝️
