Bio:

I am a trained economic journalist and investigative reporter. For eight years I researched and published on the tensions between environment and economy at WirtschaftsWoche. My articles have received multiple awards; in 2019, Medium Magazine named me one of the “Top 30 under 30” in German journalism. In 2023 I published my first book together with Benedict Wermter: “The Plastic Addiction. How corporations make billions and make us dependent" (in german).
I speak about our economic system's dependence on artificially cheap plastic waste, the waste trade and the senselessness of ocean plastic. She shows why a circular economy alone will not solve our plastic problems and what hopes are associated with an international plastic agreement.
I am happy to interview and moderate live events in German or English, also on international stages. If you wish, I speak about other climate and environmental topics such as the pitfalls of geoengineering or the economic challenges of climate neutrality. I pass on my knowledge and experience with research on international supply chains as a lecturer.
