Ineke Vermeulen

In Germany, there is a very nice word for what I do: “quereinsteigen” – yet the reality is far more interesting than such a word can capture. After studies in English, History and Geography and with a degree in teaching, I decided to jump on the IT bandwagon and became a developer. I was lucky to work for a large multi-national company, where I could foster my talents and develop myself. After working in project management and portfolio management, I got the chance to move to marketing and now I'm starting a speakers network within our company – allowing me to develop the real talent I have: communicate, motivate and inspire people as a speaker and pay it forward to colleagues and customers.
A few years ago I was approached by a business school to start lecturing there – which I do with much pleasure, and which has allowed me to explore the topics of intercultural communication and organizational behavior even deeper. If you excel at what you do, the doors of opportunity will open again and again!
I am also a distinguished member of Toastmasters International and perform stand-up comedy with Comedy Club Munich.
