Personal note:

I've been in IT for over 20 years. After becoming a mother, I noticed how different the perception of women and men is in the professional world. Through personal conversations with colleagues, it has also become clear to me that many are not even aware of this. In my talk I will go over the disadvantages of women and the advantages of more diversity. Based on my personal experiences, I can address the problems and present appropriate ideas and tools to prevent these problems and how you can support as an ally.

Bio:

After my A-levels in 1999, I spent a few months in London. I worked in a hotel and quickly realised that this was not for me in the long run. Since I found computer work easy, I decided to pursue a career in IT. In 2000, I started an apprenticeship as an IT specialist. Since then I have worked in various positions at American IT companies. Currently I work at Nutanix as a solution architect with a focus on end-user computing. Part of my job is to give technical presentations.
