Dr. Saskia Ostendorff is an independent lawyer in Berlin and works as legal counsel in a company.
As a lawyer, she is active in the area of personality rights violations. In this regard, she has already been consulted by the Bavarian and Hessian state parliaments to comment on the effects, consequences and legal measures regarding hate crime.
The core legal areas are media law and criminal law.
From 2015 to 2019, Dr. Ostendorff completed her doctorate in copyright law at Humboldt University in Berlin.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Dr. Ostendorff works for a company as legal counsel with a focus on money laundering, legal issues regarding digital identities and open source management.
Since 2018, she has been advocating for Open Data and Open Access in the legal field as co-founder of the platform and initiative Open Legal Data. She is chair of the board of the association Open Justice e.V., which was founded in 2019 and a member of the digital commission of the Deutscher Juristinnenbund e.V..
