Hi, I'm Dr. Kristina Hopfensperger. A scientist, communicator and journalist.
During my scientific studies, I learned how to write scientific texts for journals. I also learned how to present scientific data at conferences.
But nobody taught me how to explain to my family what I actually do all day. Why exclude people who are not experts but are still interested in the subject? So I took up the subject of science communication. Initially as a hobby in my spare time. In 2021, I decided to study part-time to become more professional. I completed my journalism degree at the end of 2023.
Now I pursue both passions: I am an active researcher and a specialized journalist/speaker.
I use my professional expertise to advance my research. At the same time, I discuss various scientific topics with my readers/followers on my blog and Instagram channel. I also work as a freelance science journalist.
One thing is particularly important to me: that as many people as possible understand my speeches/texts.
