Carolin Wiedemann studied journalism and sociology in Hamburg and Paris, worked for the World Policy Institute and Free Dimensional in New York City and wrote a PhD thesis about new forms of collectivity and subversion in the digital age which was published by transcript in 2016 ("Kritische Kollektivität im Netz"). Her other book publications include "Selbstvermarktung im Netz" in which she analyzes Facebook, and "Depletion Design: A Glossary of Network Ecologies" (with Soenke Zehle) and the dossier "Welcome to Germany" published by Heinrich Böll Foundation.
She writes for several magazines and newspapers such as Frankfurter Allgemeine Quarterly, Missy Magazine, and analyse&kritik. She is a board member of Humanity in Action. Currently, she works on a new book about the rise of antifeminism and the question of how to overcome it, which will be published by Matthes&Seitz in 2020.
