Bio:

Britta Muzyk - Tikovsky is a strategic business development professional with +25 years of experience in the technology sector after aquiring a Master of Business and Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Karlsruhe, Germany.

She is founder and managing director of Capscovil Innovation Agency where she develops business strategies, concepts, and content to help clients in driving innovation, sustainability, and diversity and in bridging the gap between startups and the corporate world. Britta is also passionate about supporting people to thrive on using their diverse personal skills and character traits, and about building teams with the right competency mix.

As editor-in-chief of Chillipicks – a knowledge platform and regular newsletter – she regularly curates and writes about unusual innovation, emerging trends and bleeding-edge research from around the world related to sustainability, diversity and ethics in technology.

Britta has lead panel discussions with C-level executives of international corporates and startups on the stages of some of the worldwide largest conferences, interviewed experts and influential advocates as well as performed speeches, key notes and workshops on innovation, diversity, and storytelling.

Before founding Capscovil, Britta was responsible for new business creation at corporates including Intel, Teradyne and W.L. Gore. By establishing new markets and clients as well as increasing business with existing customers she was instrumental in driving double-digit growth in strategic sales.

People who work with her describe her as a dynamic person with a strategic vision and positive attitude looking for solutions that support everyone’s needs; someone who empowers others and tells their compelling stories by putting them front and center; a person whose lateral thinking enables others to follow successful avenues off the beaten track.

Britta is also founder of Diversity Natives, an initiative that empowers women and members of minority groups in technology. She serves at selected startups as advisory board member for innovation and strategic marketing.

With her alter ego, she ventures into the world where technology and realistic fiction meet. Britta is co-author of electric vehicle spy novel “Project Black Hungarian”, author of diversity novel “GAME-Faint Signals” and has written several short stories. She has also written a range of feature articles on innovative technology.

The InsurTech Evolution - Collision Conference, Toronto

June 18, 2024.
Panel discussion with Emmalyn Shaw, Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Florish Ventures, and Sean Harper, Co-Founder & CEO at Kin Insurance, on the transformative development of InsurTech and how technologies like AI, big data are reshaping the industry as well as help counter climate change and leverage solutions for climate adaptation.

Insurances are something that everybody of us needs. Whether it’s for companies or private individuals. Like any other industry the insurance industry is in the middle of digital transformation and in some parts this can lead to a revolutionary change of how things used to be done. On one hand, this allows for efficient solutions more tailored to individual needs - home owners for example. On the other hand, there’s the opportunity to use technologies like AI and big data to assess risks in greater detail and a more timely fashion to mitigate the impact of climate change.
