Annemarie Paul is a team lead data science and data strategist, coding workshop organizer, and speaker who loves making real-world problems understandable with data. In her work as team lead data science, she builds data-driven solutions to gain insights into customer behavior and make logistics operations more efficient. As a data strategist, she advises and coaches people and companies on data strategies to avoid common mistakes in implementing sustainable and human-centric business products using AI.

The Role of Data and AI in Designing Solutions for Tax and Customs

Talk and hands-on workshop where participants designed their own data strategy and determined priorities and next steps to realize promising analytical solutions for relevant business problems. I began by illustrating the concept of data strategy and relevant components using more generic business problems. Meanwhile, during the hands-on sessions, the participants had the opportunity to focus on tax-specific use cases. In joint feedback sessions, we discussed and fine-tuned the ideated analytical solutions.
