Anna Scheuermann is an architect and works as an architectural communicator and mediator, among others for bb22 architects and urban planners and the Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM). In 2007 she was co-curator of the German contribution 'Ready for Take-Off' at the Architecture Biennale in Sao Paulo. Since 2008, she has been doing press and public relations work and business development for architecture and engineering firms (including Stefan Forster Architekten, schneider+schumacher and osd - office for structural design) and was part of the team for the Architektursomemr Rhein-Main 2015. In 2016 she was co-curator of the German contribution 'Making Heimat Germany Arrival Country' for the Architecture Biennale in Venice. From 2016-2018, she ran the agency 'ga frankfurt - guiding architects rheinmain' within the Guiding Architects network together with Andrea Schwappach and Paul-Martin Lied. Since then, she has been independently offering city tours in Frankfurt Rhine-Main and leading discussion groups on selected topics related to architecture and living together in the city in German and in English. In 2019, she was a member of the Future Club for the inner city concept of Offenbach and co-founder of Architects for Future Frankfurt Rhein-Main. In spring 2020, she published the 'Architekturführer Metropolregion Frankfurt Rhein-Main' with DOM Publishers. Since the end of 2020, she has been working independently in architectural communication, as a curator, author and moderator. In 2021, for example, she was part of the Architecture Matter team for the conference and publication 'Dense City', and in 2022 she was on the DAM curatorial team for the exhibition 'Post-Corona-Innenstadt'. Since May 2022, she has been project curator for the Frankfurt RhineMain region's application for the "World Design Capital 2026" with the motto "Design for Democracy. Atmospheres for a better life". Anna Scheuermann is currently a member of Architects for Future, Making Frankfurt, the Förderverein der Bundesstiftung Baukultur and the Netzwerk Architekturkommunikation.

Anna Scheuermann studied architecture in Darmstadt, Germany and Querétaro, Mexico and now works as a freelance curator, writer, editor, guide and moderator. She worked extensively with the Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) and co–curated two German contributions at architecture biennials: Ready for Take–Off in São Paulo (2007) and Making Heimat in Venice (2016). Her publications include schneider+schumacher (2012), the Making Heimat-trilogy (2016/2017), the Architectural Guide Frankfurt Rhein–Main (2020) and Fast Forward – Dense City (2022). Anna’s day involves bike rides between Offenbach and Frankfurt, the “Making Frankfurt” initiative, editing a magazine, and a little bit of baking.This talk is in: English
