Aylin Kazi was born in Germany and grew up in Baden-Württemberg. As a child of Bengali parents the topics of migration, ideals of beauty, racism and also media and media representation were always important to her. That's why she wanted to do something in the media from an early age. In addition to journalism, she also dealt a lot with the design, conception and content creation - especially on the Internet - during her studies in the subject "Online Journalism", which initially led to her main interest: Social media. During and after completing her studies, she gained practical experience in many areas at the production company Endemol Shine Germany (Celebrity Big Brother, Big Brother and Masterchef Germany), digital agency oddity (dm and L'Oréal) and fashion brand Kapten & Son: Whether content creation, social media management or influencer marketing. As a jury member at the Grimme Online Awards 2018 and 2019, she found her way back to her real passion: Journalism in social media. After her studies she decided to do a traineeship at the second biggest broadcaster Europes, WDR. As a digital trainee, she worked on her skills in media (TV, radio, etc.) from April 2020 to April 2022, without losing the focus on digital products. Among other things, she worked with Quarks, 1LIVE, Cosmo, Lokalzeit Cologne and Lokalzeit Dortmund, political TV magazine "Westpol", funk WDR, Online Magazine "ZEIT Online" (external), production firm "Kanakfilm" (external) and the digital and strategy unit NRW . Today she is a journalist, format developer and presenter.
