This one-day React course is designed for individuals who already have some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and want to learn the basics of building professional user interfaces with React. React is a powerful JavaScript library for building complex, interactive user interfaces and has become the most popular front-end development tool in recent years. During the workshop, participants will learn the core concepts of React like JSX, styling, hooks, and state management. Through hands-on exercises and examples, they will learn how to create components, connect them together and feed them with data from a REST API.

According to a recent study, over 34,000 new developers committed code to Web3 projects in 2021 — among them, many frontend specialists can benefit from their previous experience in Javascript, React, or UI/UX design. This talk will explain what we consider a decentralized application and how we implement frontends that connect to a blockchain rather than a “traditional” backend. It will also provide new user flows introduced into the Web3 field (e.g., in terms of authentication and data handling), skills necessary for Web3 frontend development, and tools that can help you get started among different blockchain platforms. The talk will also cover thoughts on UI/UX in the field of Web3 and decentralized deployment strategies.

Moving from Web2 to Web3 can feel complex and confusing. This session will give an insight into why we need to make the transition, and how we can make the transition regardless of our professional background. We want to share our stories of making that shift and provide some hints and tips about how to approach Web/Blockchain as an emerging technology.

In diesem Kurs gehen wir auf eine Reise in die moderne Web-Entwicklung, entschlüsseln Buzzwords und lernen wie die wichtigsten Technologien aufeinander aufbauen. Das Wissen, das wir uns erarbeiten, werden wir innerhalb des Kurses praktisch umsetzen und eine Web-Application entwickeln.
