Denica Yotova is the Africa programme coordinator of the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in Berlin.
She used to be part of ECFR’s central advocacy team coordinating the annual workplan, advocacy planning and reporting of ECFR's four regional programmes since 2016. Denica is currently the Africa programme coordinator providing cross-cutting coordination to the activities of ECFR’s new Africa programme and supporting the development of the programme’s policy & advocacy activities, financial management, communications and outreach. She played a crucial role in setting up the new programme and ensuring its success.
Previously, she completed a Schuman traineeship at the European Parliament and served as an Organizational Leader and Executive Board member of the Association of the Bulgarian Leaders and Entrepreneurs. She holds an MA in International Relations and European Studies from Centre International de Formation Européenne - France, and a BA in Cultural Studies from Sofia University. She is an Alumna of the Bulgarian Young Leaders Programme by IIE.
