I have been part of delivering over 250 data science and AI projects to 150 companies over the last decade. I know the art of the possible, and how to get a data science strategy/programme right. I love talking about how to get started with data science, and also topics related to founding and running my own tech company.
Kim has a background in science, with a PhD in Astrophysics and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management. She is the co-founder and Chair of Pivigo – the Data Science Hub. Pivigo is a data science marketplace, accelerating data innovation in organisations by connecting them to a global community of freelancing data scientists. Through Pivigo, Kim has delivered over 250 data science projects to 150 organisations such as AstraZeneca, Barclays, News UK, and Microsoft. She has an expert overview of the data science ecosystem, the art of the possible, and what makes a data science initiative successful.
Pivigo also runs Europe’s largest data science training programme S2DS, and through the programme Kim has supported over 700 academics to transition to data science roles in industry.
Kim is excited to bring businesses and scientists together to harness the value and opportunities in data, by bridging the gap between the two fields. Since the launch of Pivigo, Kim has been named a Rising Star among the Top 100 Influencers of Big Data in the, awarded ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the Women in IT awards and named as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in IT in the UK three years in a row.
