Für Wasser ohne Mikroplastik und Mikroschadstoffe müssen viele Hebel in Bewegung gesetzt werden: Wissenschaftlich, technologisch, wirtschaftlich, politisch, gesellschaftlich, national und international, lokal und global. Daher sind wir Sustainability Entrepreneurs geworden, die ein globales Problem mit einem transformativen Business Model anpacken. Wir handeln jenseits von Schubladen, Silos und Sektoren.

Wir bieten innovative Technologie und fundiertes Knowhow, genauso wie partizipative und interactive Bildungs- und Bewusstseinsbildungsprojekte, mit denen wir die Vielzahl der Akteure und Hebel für Wässer ohne Mikroplastik und Mikroschadstoffe ansprechen.

Als Sustainability Entrepreneur berücksichtigen wir bei allen einzelnen und kleinen Schritten, die wir tun, das große Ganze der Nachhaltigkeit: In Bezug auf unsere internen und externen Aktivitäten als Organisation, unsere Prozesse, Produkte und Dienstleistungen, deren Ergebnisse und Auswirkungen.

Wir denken neu, handeln messbar nachhaltig und arbeiten uns mit Ansätzen, die wir wirklich sinnhaft finden peu à peu in Richtung echter Transformationsprozesse.

Wasser 3.0 handelt immer mit dem Ziel, messbare Beiträge zu den Nachhaltigkeitszielen der Vereinten Nationen in den Bereichen sauberes Wasser, grüne Innovation, Klimaschutz und verantwortungsvolle Produktion zu leisten.

Dr. Katrin Schuhen is the inventor, researcher, developer and founder of the non-profit company Wasser 3.0 (Wasser 3.0 gGmbH).

Until May 2018, she did this as a Junior Professor of Organic and Ecological Chemistry at the University of Koblenz-Landau.

After gaining her doctorate in chemistry at Ruprecht-Karls University Heidelberg in 2007, she worked in the chemical and medical technology industry for five years before founding her research group in 2012. Since then, she and her colleagues have been researching inorganic-organic hybrid materials for applications in (waste) water purification.

In 2015, she was honored with the GreenTec Award in the category "Water and Wastewater" and was awarded the Environmental Award Rhineland Palatinate 2017 and the Hans Raab Environmental Award 2016 as well as the Partlife Environmental Award 2019.
