Personal note:

Elisa Czerski is an entrepreneur, philosopher, and economist. Drawing from her academic research exploring the connection of AI, robotics, neuroscience, and ethics, she founded N Robotics in 2021. N Robotics is a full-stack robotics company that provides academic institutions and industry partners with customized robotics solutions for their specific application needs. The idea behind N Robotics is to provide fair and good access to high-end technologies and robots so that everyone can participate in the digital transformation.

Previously, she founded the Rethink Ethics & Tech initiative with the goal of taking a new practical approach to philosophy to tackle the question of how to develop, design, and use technologies that benefit society as a whole.

However, not all of them also have the expertise and manpower internally to use them in a target-oriented way. For this case, Elisa Czerski founded N Robotics: The company aims to build an ecosystem around mobile robotics to offer customers and partners full flexibility and the ability to develop their own applications. In Einzeldisziplinen sind Roboter uns Menschen längst überlegen. Die eierlegende Wollmilchsau insgesamt gibt es noch nicht. Je nach Definition des Menschen werden wir diesen Punkt vielleicht auch gar nicht erreichen. ChatGPT zeigt aber, mit welchem Tempo sich die Entwicklung vollzieht. Elisa berichtet von der Enttäuschung ihrer Marketing-Mitarbeiterin. Die wollte einen Workshop machen, um besser schreiben zu lernen. Inzwischen weiß sie: ChatGPT kann das bereits übernehmen, sie muss es nicht mehr lernen. Treffen wir uns dann mit den Maschinen auf Augenhöhe? Elisa widerspricht. Jedenfalls aber haben Menschen offensichtlich keine Schwierigkeiten mit der Fiktion, uns stehe ein echter Akteur gegenüber, mit dem wir sprechen können, der in uns Emotionen weckt.

We will talk about why transparency matters in algorithmic decision-making and how it is different from explainability. We will discuss this on the example of Twitter, recent news related to Musk's intentions making Twitter's algorithms open-source - whether it is a bad news or a good news. And additionally, Elisa will bring her real-life examples about robotics.
