Charlotte Niekamp is a peasant farmer and market gardener from Niedersachsen, Germany. She studied landscape ecology, has conducted research on drought related problems in agriculture and conservation, and has published on the dependance of the food system on fossil fuels.
Charlotte Niekamp is a member of the municipal council. Her core topics are good living conditions for all people in the countryside, climate justice, migration and labour shortage.
As a young farmer, she advocates for fair prices, access to land, more new entrants into agriculture, and regionalized food systems.
