MateriaBrasil, the consultancy and innovation studio for applied circular and collaborative economy, has the largest open source material and product library focused on social environmentally responsible alternatives. As co-chair at ColaborAmerica she fosters and promotes new economies practices in Latin America, developing an identity for the region.

For the work she has been developing, Manuela is been a speaker on events such as Re:publica in Berlin, OuiShare Fest in Paris and World Economic Forum in Latin America in Buenos Aires.

Graduated as an Industrial Designer, in 2013 Manuela was internationally awarded (Red Dot design award – best of the best) for her innovation on sustainable design with the “Botiá – nests for food project”.

Yamada is also member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community since 2014 and since 2016 Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s CE100 member and OuiShare representative in Brazil.
