My research focuses on the political function of masculinity in historical Nazism and contemporary right-wing extremism in Germany and its relation to the systemic tensions of liberalism. My approach combines intellectual history, biographical perpetrator research, and literary studies.
In addition to giving academic lectures, I lead seminars and workshops for high school students and have experience communicating historical topics to diverse audiences.
I studied History and Holocaust Studies in Freiburg, Leiden, and Haifa, and I am currently pursuing my PhD at the University of Hamburg. Alongside my doctoral research, I work as a freelance historian.
