Willing to travel for an event.
Willing to talk for nonprofit.
Data-driven decision-makers deserve to be seen and heard.
For that to happen though, we may learn skills which nobody has taught us before - such as:
- Creating compelling data stories
- Crafting narratives that grasp audiences’ attention
- Inspire and motivate people to take action and earn you (financial) recognition.
Transforming data into concise and impactful stories is not easy, as the process and the amount of information is complex. We are afraid to lose important information when simplifying. Instead of a story a lecture is formed. And your stakeholders? They stop listening and don’t appreciate your hard work, because they don’t see how that solves their problems.
Based in Berlin, Germany, originally from Leipzig where I studied applied mathematics.
Since 2011 I applied my math skills in data analytics and data science teams across various industries: energy, transportation, AI algorithm development, food.
Since 2019 I also led teams of data analysts, data scientists and data engineers.
I have always been passionate about supporting people in developing their skills in math, data analysis and data science. That’s why in early 2024 I decided to become a coach for data storytelling.
I apply data storytelling techniques in my blog Mathemalytics, where I talk about mathematical concepts and data analysis topics in a simple and engaging way.
