Personal note:

As a book author and lecturer, I convey complex scientific topics in an understandable way. In adult education, I offer workshops, multi-day retreats, further training and evening courses. I teach at universities on topics such as sleep regulation, the connection between sleep and the gut, child sleep development and the basics of cognitive psychology and neurobiology.

Through my extensive academic background, several years of experience abroad and my work as an assistant professor, I bring in-depth knowledge of sleep science and biology. As head of several research projects, I contribute to the creation of new knowledge and innovative approaches in research.

Bio:

I educate public and professional audiences on sleep science and sleep health. I compile seminars, deliver lectures, speak at public events, and lead workshops integrating sleep science with mindfulness. I teach continuing education programs and provide consultancy in Corporate Health Management, helping organisations implement sustainable sleep-related strategies by translating research into practical, actionable solutions.

I am a seasoned biologist and sleep expert with a PhD in neuroscience and over 15 years of expertise in human life sciences. My career has focused on leading pioneering research projects, primarily on sleep regulation, cognitive development, and the impact of environmental factors such as stress, nutrition and the gut microbiome. I have contributed significantly to understanding the role of sleep in neuronal network dynamics from infancy to adulthood, utilizing advanced methodologies like high-density electroencephalography and wearables.

Overall, I am a science communicator with peer-reviewed publications and textbooks. I have extensive experience presenting and deliver engaging lectures to diverse audiences, including the general public, researchers, medical professionals, and students, and am proficient in scientific writing.
