Rachel Myers

Rachel is a backend engineer at GitHub, where she spends most of her time in a massive Rails application. She speaks about architecting maintainable and deployable software, including arguing against Service Oriented Architecture, and for expanding the definition of front end engineering.

In her free time she volunteers with, and sits on the Board of Directors of RailsBridge, an organization that has, since 2009, held hundreds of free workshops for women, people of color, non-native English speakers, and other marginalized groups all over the world.
