I don't want to talk for nonprofit.
Hi, my name is Amelie. I’m a non-techie who loves tech, a woman who speaks up for social justice, and an advocate for meaningful communication.
I was the first one to study in my family. I come from the east of Germany, the former GDR. Now I live in Germany‘s most expensive city. I identify as female, and I try my best to always remember my other privileges such as being white and not considered disabled.
I did my Bachelor‘s in Chinese Language & Business Administration. I spent 1.5 years in China to study the language, co-establish a factory for people with disabilities, and organize business delegation trips. Yes, I speak Chinese.
In my master studies I started looking at the intersection of gender and technology. Not only did I write my thesis on women in the AI industry, but I also enhanced my knowledge of programming and the tech scene.
I currently work as an agile management consultant, which means I help companies with their agile transformation. And I’m supporting teams as a Scrum Master - which makes me a very experienced moderator and trainer. I’m a heavy communicator: I sing (choir member), I act (improv theater), and I speak at events. My mission is to bring a smile into my audience’s faces.
