Maryam Jamshidi is a lawyer and writer with nearly ten years of experience working on issues relating to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Maryam’s writing has appeared in various academic publications, as well as in media outlets such as Al Jazeera English and TruthOut. She is also the founder of Muftah.org, a digital magazine focusing on domestic and international issues affecting countries in the MENA region. Maryam received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Brown University, a Master’s degree in Political Theory from the London School of Economics, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
