Jona works as a Community Lead, she helps build and foster developer communities. For more than 7 years, she has been part of the Fedora Project community where she is involved with the DEI team working on Fedora Week of Diversity, Fedora Mentors Summit, and several other initiatives. She is also part of The Document Foundation Code of Conduct Committee.

The Fedora Project has participated in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) as a mentoring organization for over a decade now and has been participated in Outreachy since its' early rounds. This session was an opportunity to showcase projects of current and former GSoC and Outreachy interns in Fedora to the community.

The Gender Gap is one of the most talked topic since forever, and still a Gap. Where are women in Open Source? Why the gap is so big? Women participation in open technology and culture is very important so we should all pay more attention. This talk was focused on the large steps we can take to reduce this gap. Also we shared out experience at our hackerspace in Tirana, Albania since we have lots of women there.
