I am a postdoctoral researcher in the ethics of biomedical Big Data at the Oxford Internet Institute and part of the newly created Digital Ethics Lab, at the University of Oxford. My main research interests lie at the intersection of health, new technologies, education, law and policy-making. I am particularly interested in the use of biomedical big data, esp. in so far as genetic information is linked with lifestyle information.

My PhD in Bioethics and Medical Jurisprudence focused on the ethics of cognitive enhancement of intellectual abilities. I analysed the way cognitive-affective atypicality is currently treated by law and society, and argued that both legal and social positions with regard to cognitive variations are ethically questionable.
