In her educational pursuits, she has attended the University of Alabama, Hunstville for Aerospace Engineering, St. John's College, Annapolis for Liberal Arts and Clare College, Cambridge for Medieval British Literature.
Heather Wilde has a long-standing interest in Economic and Community Development. She took what she learned from her time with the Lt. Governor of Maryland's Office and applied that to over 15 years of building and growing digital communities with companies such as Spirit Airlines, THQ and Evernote.
Professionally, she has programmed microcontrollers for the Navy, worked on NASA projects, been a Flight Attendant, designed and managed online games for some major licenses, run HR departments for small business and 5000+ employee companies, and designed and managed the multilingual support infrastructure at Evernote from its very early days through its milestone of 100 million users.
She is currently the CTO of ROCeteer, a Las Vegas company that provides Coaching and support services to ecosystems globally. In tandem to this role, she enjoys performing as an advisor to startups and coaching their entrepreneurs.
Heather also serves on the IT Sector Council of Nevada to help create and expand initiatives statewide in STEM Education and job growth, and volunteers her time with Girls in Tech, a 501(c)3 that encourages diversity and inclusiveness in the STEM sector and with the NeverGiveUp Foundation on their Board of Directors.
She has appeared on Huffpost Live, and has been quoted in both Huffington Post and in the Wall Street Journal as well as appearing in many other industry publications and podcasts. Heather is also the author of the upcoming book "The Birth of a Unicorn: Six Basic Steps to Success", which gives a unique perspective of the early days of a successful startup.
