In the past 7 years she held various roles from Java Software Developer over Business Analysts to Product Owner. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business informatics, focusing on open source technologies and mobile computing. In her free time she enjoys juggling and drawing passionately.

Day-to-day digitalization: Making up with automation

What is the difference between digitization, digitalization, and automation?
To answer these questions, we will have a look at our daily routines. Can teeth brushing be automated? Can you automate putting on makeup? Not likely. To be concrete: there's about a 1% chance that, e.g., being a makeup artist will be automated, supposedly.
But can you digitalize the job of a makeup artist? Well, influencers do it already. To be honest - I think a lot of us do it regularly - "Oh, we have a meeting now? Let's touch up my appearance on zoom!" On the other hand, there's an 85% chance that a salesperson's work will be automated sooner or later.

I am looking forward to talking to you about different aspects of digitalization and the opportunity of automation to support it. I will also show you some workflow automation hacks - iOS users only.

Leverage Cloud Computing benefits with Serverless Multi-Cloud ML

What is Democratization? What is Machine Learning and AI? How to get started with Machine Learning & AI?
At the end of this presentation, you will know how to use different cloud providers within one decoupled application, learn the basic concept of Machine Learning and have an overall insight into how to use these completely new technologies without the need of being a professional in this particular field. We will look at customvision.ai – an Azure service that is a code-free image classification service. For testing purposes, some data will be automatically collected from the internet and pre-processed with using GCP’s cognitive services in order to train our model specifically for our use-case. The predictions of the model will be tested using Azure’s Predictions API, AWS CloudWatch, API Gateway, Lambda functions, Amazon SNS, and SQS. All of the analyzed data will be stored in AWS S3 and queried with Amazon Athena.
