office lighting tricks that create a vibrant work environment

According to a survey conducted by the American Bureau of Labor Statistics, the majority of us spend more time working than on any other activity during a regular week. Sleep comes in second and leisure activities like sport or spending time with friends and family comes in third place. Thus people aged between 25 and 54 spend more time in their offices than in their homes and see more of their colleagues than their partners, friends and children combined!

How can we, using light, make our offices into creative environments that stimulate our thought process, support our ability to work in a team and help us to focus on the task at hand? Moreover, how can we as lighting designers facilitate this with our expertise and experience in the business?

This talk will provide you will tips and tricks to create healthy and inspiring working environments. I will share with you my thoughts on lighting design for workspaces and give away some practical tips for when designing lighting schemes for offices.

By realizing that workspaces are actually living spaces, we can learn how to improve their quality and turn them into enjoyable surroundings that are also conducive to work.
